A Night at the Opera. 1987 OSB Trakehner mare. By Insterfurst (Enrico Caruso) and out of the imported ATA Honor Roll mare, Alma Maid.  Oprah is a proven broodmare of outstanding Trakehner-cross foals. She is a former eventer, and her progeny have shown talent in both dressage and jumping. She had her first purebred foal by PRELUDE BY MOZART in 2009. Oprah will join the broodmare band at Stopek Stables in 2010, and she will again be bred to Prelude By Mozart. Keep your fingers crossed she produces a colt in 2011!! We'd love to see her have a purebred stallion prospect! When she retires from breeding, she'll come back here to babysit.
Ada GS . 1991 OSB Trakehner mare.  Out of Alouette (Tannenberg *E* x Abiza *E*), and by Troy. Ada carries the best of Trakehner genetics and she has been described as THE mare most exhibiting the "true" Trakehner type. She is Schickedanz-bred from the ABIZA line, and the dam of the ATA APPROVED STALLION Arapaho GS and several very high-scoring daughters. Schickedanz-bred, I purchased her directly from Galten Farms in 2006. Ada produced s stallion-quality colt for me in 2007 who has been retained, and we hope to present him to the ATA in 2010. She has also gone to Stopek Stables for her remaining brooding duties. When she retires, she'll come back home. I very much look forward to seeing what she produces with Prelude By Mozart.
Lobelia. 1990 OSB mare. By Donaufurst *Ps*E*, out of Lottcha by Koree. "Be" was Show Champion, Champion Mare, and 1st in her 3 Year Old filly class at the American Trakehner Association Mare Show in Columbus, Ohio in October of 1993. She is trained in dressage through 1st level, and is a willing, talented partner.  Lobelia is in foal to Whitesville for 2010. I am retaining this foal, and she will be bred to Prelude By Mozart for 2011 for Stopek Stables. As with Oprah and Ada, she will come back here to retire when she's done with her broodmare duties.
Forget Me Never
"Princess". 1995 Trakehner mare by Pfeifen, (1997 USDF All-Breeds- First Level - 5th - 67.429%,1997 USDF HOY -First Level - 35th - 67.429%) and out of Finin (by Mikado (Impuls x Mirabel), who was imported to Canada by the German-born breeder, Gerda Friedrichs in 1968).  Princess is a lovely, large mare with excellent movement and a super sweet temperment. Eligible for OSB approval upon inspection.
Last Dance "Libby". 1997 Trakehner mare by Pfeifen, (1997 USDF All-Breeds- First Level - 5th - 67.429%,1997 USDF HOY -First Level - 35th - 67.429%) and out of Lakritze (by Mikado (Impuls x Mirabel), who was imported to Canada by the German-born breeder, Gerda Friedrichs in 1968). 16hh. Libby shows a more than striking resemblance to her grandsire, Mikado. She has been started in groundwork, and is eligible for OSB approval upon inspection. She will be started under saddle in 2010.
Poeme. 1996 Anglo-Trakehner mare by Pfeifen, (1997 USDF All-Breeds- First Level - 5th - 67.429%,1997 USDF HOY -First Level - 35th - 67.429%) and out of Bit Uh Red xx (Game Lord (Ire) xx X Red Head xx). Poeme is a robust mare...just my type, and is a wonderful example of the benefits of the Anglo-Trakehner "cross".

Alabama. 1989 OSB mare. 17hh. By Tannenberg, out of Abendmarchen by Marchenstein. "Bama" is Schickedanz-bred from the Abiza line. She is a big, lanky mare with HUGE movement. She has a sweet, sweet demeanor, and is a good friend to everybody. "Bama" evented successfully at upper levels before being retired to broodmare status. She is no longer sound to ride, and is another "professional broodmare". She has produced several quality foals, and her youngest colt is a stallion candidate. Alabama had a gorgeous colt by Wicklow Highlands in 2008. She, too, will be bred to Hennessey in 2010 for her new owner.
Sonndance. 1988 OSB Trakehner mare. 16.0hh. By Tamino, out of Savana. Sonny has an amazing, kind personality, with a soft, kind eye and breathtaking movement. She is a wonderful mother. Sonny foaled a handsome bay colt by  Tycoon in 2007, and Sonny a handsome colt by Wicklow Highlands in 2008. Sonny is sound and sane under saddle, but here I have only used her as a broodmare. She is a kind mare, but still "almost" boss-mare in the herd. Sonny is in foal to Hennessey for 2010 for her new owner.
Savana is by the stallion, MOZART, and out of the wonderful mare, Schlobitten. Schlobitten was the dam of THREE approved stallion in Europe, including Holme Grove Soloman. She was imported in 1986, and has had a number fo foals. She is retired from breeding, but was still going strong under saddle when she was retired from breeding in 2006! She was my very first Trakehner, and is the dam of Sonndance, above.
Sunny Brook. 1994 American Trakehner Approved Arabian mare. 15.1hh. She had a lovely filly by Prelude By Mozart in 2007. She is a gorgeous mare, with good size and substance, and good bone, but beautiful refined "classic" Arabian features.  She has three good gaits, and is conformationally correct. All of her foals have matured over 16hh. Her sire is "Night of Fire" by the famous "Le Fire". Her 2007 filly was the first of that crop to sell, and for good reason...she is fabulous.  Sunny also has had professional training and is 100% sound.
Hallie Creek. 1997 16.3hh OSB Trakehner mare by Hadrian and out of the PSB approved thoroughbred mare, Pot O Cash. ISR Oldenburg approved broodmare. "Hallie" has had two foals, one of which (Huston FLF) can be seen on our Youngstock page. Halli has been bred unsuccessfully for the past 3 seasons.
