Alabama. 1989 OSB mare. 17hh. By Tannenberg, out of Abendmarchen by Marchenstein. "Bama" is Schickedanz-bred from the Abiza line. She is a big, lanky mare with HUGE movement. She has a sweet, sweet demeanor, and is a good friend to everybody. "Bama" evented successfully at upper levels before being retired to broodmare status. She is no longer sound to ride, and is another "professional broodmare". She has produced several quality foals, and her youngest colt is a stallion candidate. Alabama is in foal to Wicklow Highlands for a June 2008 foal. Alabama will also head to Kevin Hughes' farm Tennessee upon weaning her 2008 foal. She, too, will be bred to his stallion Hennessey.
