Lange Zeits Red is a big, robust mare who we acquired in 2016. She is by the very underrated Kitfox, who was by the great Abiza son, Amiego. Kitfox was a son of the Consul daughter Konsula, who had two colts, Kitfox and E.H. King Arthur, also an approved stallion. Red is a daughter of Lange Zeits, who was sired by the great Graditz, who sired NINE approved stallions.
She is a fantastic producing mare, who unfortunately suffered an injury before she could complete a performance career herself. Her foals (all by thoroughbred stallions, thus far, have all been large, correct, with good bone and powerful hindquarters.
In addition to raising her own babies, she raised Halle Lujah's December 2019 colt Ofer we lost Holly 48 hours after foaling.
Red is the quintessential broodmare...always maintaining her health and vigor throughout nursing and weaning. She is devoted and kind, and absolutely a joy to be around, always. I have never seen her have an "off" day, nor be short with a foal or a friend.
