Broadway Jester. 1985 chestnut Thoroughbred stallion. 16hh. Jester is a son of STAGE DOOR JOHNNY, and out of the TOM FOOL daughter, Bebopper. Bebopper was the dam of three stakeswinners -- Stop The Music (by Hail To Reason, Dwyer S.-G2, etc.), Hatchet Man (by The Axe II, Widener H.-G1, etc.) and Flag Waver (Hoist The Flag, Rampart H.) -- and stakes-placers Slewbopper and Steady Beat. Stage Door Johnny is an incredible sporthorse bloodline, known for producing jumpers and eventers, and the likelihood of finding these old bloodlines up close again is remote.
Jester is a handsome, correct stallion with very nice movement and personality to spare. There is no reason to believe he is not yet fertile, and he definately has a keen interest in the mares. He has no vices, enjoys turnout, and is in good health for his age. He may have a bit of Cushing's, which is my only concern right now. He has a bit of a coat, and was pretty sweaty today, but it was hot and muggy and he just endured a LONG trip and was just uprooted from his home of 22+ years, so we'll give him a few days to settle in. .
